All India Institute of Medical Science, Jodhpur an Autonomous Institute of National Importance is one of the new AIIMS and apex healthcare being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swastya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalance in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training.

Qualification & Experience
1. Professor
Medical Candidates (for General Discipline):-
1. A medical qualification.
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
3. Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./M.S. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
For super speciality discipline:-
1. A medical qualification.
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline/subject.
3. M.Ch. for surgical super -specialities and D.M. for Medical super specialities (2 years or 3 years or 5 years recognized course) or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
4 Twelve years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in the subject of speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.Ch./D.M. (2 years or 5years course recognized after MBBS) in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Or
Eleven years teaching and/or research experience in recognized Institution in the subject of speciality for the candidates possessing 3 years recognized the degree of D.M/M.Ch in the respective discipline/subject or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
for Non- Medical Candidates-
1 Master’s degree in concerned speciality.
2 A doctorate degree of the recognized university.
3 Fourteen-year teaching and/or research experience in the discipline/subject concerned after obtaining the doctorate degree.
